News about the next installment from the "Diablo" video game franchise continues to be scarce, but speculations claim that Blizzard Entertainment is planning to release "Diablo 4" instead of a new expansion pack for "Diablo 3."

The game studio last came up with a "Diablo 3" expansion, titled "Reaper of Souls," back in 2014. But they have yet to release a follow-up aside from the continuous patches, including the introduction of the Ruins of Sescheron in Patch 2.3.0 and the Greyhallow Island as part of Patch 2.4.0.

But since it has been two years since the release of "Reaper of Souls," it seems like Blizzard is already working on a major follow-up such as "Diablo 4."

While Blizzard has yet to confirm if the rumors about the creation of "Diablo 4" are true, a fan named Stewart Berk came up with a concept plot for the reported installment from the action role-playing video game franchise.

The concept plot, posted on the fan-made Diablo blogsite, revealed that the four factions that led the new society that sprung after The Great War begin to disagree.

The four factions include the Monks, who take care of health in the modern society, the secretive Mages, who practice the arcane arts, the Militants, who take care of the society's law and order, and the naturalist group called the Mystics.

"While the four factions occasionally disagree, a greater peace has held for as long as modern memory reaches. But recently dark rumors have begun to spread of underground cults that speak to beings thought lost to time. Tensions are running high. There have been strange sightings in the wilderness, and odd lights in the sky," the concept story stated.

Blizzard Entertainment has yet to release a statement if they will agree with the fan's idea for the upcoming "Diablo 4."
