Sony Interactive Entertainment, the publisher of the PlayStation 4 game "Detroit: Become Human," announced that the upcoming neo-noir thriller adventure game is scheduled to release on March 25.

GameSpot reported the news about the release of the game on March 1.

According to the official PlayStation website, "Detroit: Become Human" is a third-person point of view game set in the near-future metropolis of Detroit which is a city revived by the presence of androids that were considered a compelling technological development. Players control three characters — Kara (Valorie Curry), a newly-created female android with artificial consciousness who discovers how it is to live among humans and is struggling to find her place in a world where androids are still not conscious and are being used as servants; Connor (Bryan Dechart), an advanced police model android with the task of hunting down androids that have strayed from their programmed behaviors and Markus (Jesse Williams), an android who frees other androids from bondage by breaking their programming.

Players guide these characters by making the necessary decisions on behalf of the characters. These choices not only determine the fate of the characters but they also determine the fate of Detroit as a whole. Players will also have the means to go back to certain points in the story to remake the choices they had made if ever they did not like the outcome of their respective decisions.

Polygon reported that fans are not happy with "Detroit: Become Human's" cover art. The issue is based on two complaints fans of the game raised — the art's picture framing which showcases the close-up photo of Markus which the fans said have been used for other games and the fact that Markus was the only character on the art which fans believed downplayed Connor and Kara who are major characters in the game as well. Developer Quantic Dream and Sony have yet to comment on the issue.
