'Destiny' news: Xur Agent of the Nine weekend location, schedule update; future 'The Taken King' Exotic merchandise revealed

Xur, Agent of Nine

Xur, Agent of the Nine, broke his usual routine by going against his usual schedule of visiting the Tower every weekend to sell the valuable Exotics that normally comes with his weekly visit. This time, the travelling merchant appeared in the middle of the week and revealed several Exotic items that will go on sale once "Destiny: The Taken King" DLC is released next month.

Using the game's official Instagram account, the mysterious travelling merchant teased avid "Destiny" players with the Exotics that will come when "The Taken King" comes out with the game's Year Two in September.

One of the Exotic gears revealed was the Empyrean Bellicose, an Exotic titan helmet that has the ability to allow a Titan wearing it to float in the air for a short time. There is also an Exotic shotgun called the Chaperone, which can unleash a single slug shot. A Titan's precision kills using this exotic weapon will allow the player to improve the Handling, Range, Rate of Fire, as well as Stability.

An Exotic warlock chest piece called the Alchemist's Raiment can turn iron into gold. The Exotic fusion rifle called Telesto has the ability to attach the projectiles to the enemies, which can be detonated at a later time.

There is also an Exotic hunter gauntlet called the Sealed Ahamkara Grasps as well as the heavy fusion rifle called Sleeper Simulant that were shown in the game's social media posts.

Xur also revealed a special promo wherein a player can tag their Fireteam members in the comment section of the Instagram post for a chance to win special items from the Speaker's library.

However, the travelling Agent of the Nine failed to mention the exact location where he will hang out on Friday, Aug. 28, for his usual trip to the Tower to exchange several Exotic items for a corresponding number of Strange Coins or Motes of Light.

Gamers can expect to see Xur, Agent of the Nine, in the Tower in his new schedule that will start at 2 a.m. PST/ 5 a.m. EST/ 10 a.m. in the UK on Friday.
