More treats than tricks await "Destiny" players as Bungie has launched the Halloween update bearing the Festival of the Lost live event early this week.

The latest Halloween offering from the best-selling first-person sci-fi game comes with a variety of new items like maps, masks, side quests, and rewards. The Tower is also adorned with spooky Halloween decors. Compared to last year's modest Halloween offering, Bungie made sure that this year's special holiday update has more interesting content for the gamers' total enjoyment.

The Festival of the Lost live event is being offered to all "Destiny" players from Oct. 26 up to Nov. 9. It features several new quests, a number of consumable items, as well as several new Eververse Trading Co. items like Halloween-themed Emotes and the Treasures of the Lost.

The players will instantly discover the new Halloween update upon signing in, since the Tower has been decked with banners, paper lanterns, fireflies, and candles to give it a spooky, haunted house vibe.

As soon as they enter the Tower, they can purchase goody bags from Tess Everis' Eververse Trading Co. that will include consumable items from the Treasures of the Lost packs such as Paper Glue, Jackolyte, Flight of Shadows, Skull Mask, Random Festival Candy, and Paper Scraps. Players have the option to get one, three, or six Treasures of the Lost consumable items in their goody bags, but all these packs will come with a random legendary mask.

Meanwhile, the Halloween Emotes include the Zombie Dance Emotes that imitate Michael Jackson's "Thriller" dance moves. It can be purchased exclusively by PlayStation 4 and Xbox one players for 700 Silver. Other new Emotes include the Monster Dance Emotes worth 500 Silver and the Boo Emotes worth 300 silver. All these items can be purchased for just 1, 500 Silver or an outright payment of $14.98.

Only those who have upgraded to The Taken King pack can avail of these items. However, players must act fast to be able to catch this update in their games, since everything here will expire after the scheduled event.
