'Destiny 2' second Faction Rally weapons news: Players faced with a difficult decision

Online multiplayer first-person shooter game "Destiny 2" has finally released its second faction rally only this time, players will have to think a lot more about their decision. Dead Orbit, New Monarchy and Future War Cult all have their own pros and cons with the different weapons and gears they offer.

Those who love seeing explosions would opt to join Dead Orbit. They offer a grenade launcher called Truthteller. Seeing the art, many would recognize its similarities to the Flash and Thunder which did not impress much. However, that would not be the case for the Truthteller, which has a bigger explosion radius that can definitely find its effectiveness when used against groups of mobs in raids. Sadly, those who have played "Destiny 2" for a while now would know that grenade launchers in general just do not seem to be great, as pointed out by Polygon.

In a game full of guns, New Monarchy offers a sword they call Honor's Edge. Swords in "Destiny 2" are rarely used by players in general. After all, this is a first-person shooter game and it is not quite as effective as using guns. What makes Honor's Edge stand out from the usual sword mechanic is the trait it features called En Garde. When switching to the Honor's Edge, it significantly increases its damage, making it a lot more effective than usual swords. Players will find this similar to the Quickfang trait from the Cayde-6.

If it is more of a rifle that the player wants, Future War Cult offers their Timelines' Vertex, a fusion rifle. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be that exciting for many players since it does not offer any actual unique qualities compared to the other weapons.

Even then, according to Kotaku, the current rally favors the Future War Cult and thus the Timelines' Vertex. A lot of skepticism looms over grenade launchers including Truthteller and while the Honor's Edge aesthetically looks great, it just does not fit in a FPS game. Thus, comparing it to these two, it does not seem much of irony anymore for players to choose the Future War Cult's rifle.
