'Dark Souls 3' release date news: Pre-order bonuses for PC, PS4 and Xbox One outlined

Bandai is offering "Dark Souls 3" pre-order bonuses for every console. From Software/Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco is offering tons of irresistible bonuses to gamers who pre-order "Dark Souls 3," which will officially be out in April. Of course, the goodies to come with it are different for each console but they are nonetheless to die for.

PC players who purchase a copy of the upcoming action role-playing video game early via Steam will get a copy of the installment's soundtrack, which won't be accessible until the title's launch date, which is on April 12.

Pre-ordering the PC version before the official "Dark Souls 3" release will also score players who own a copy of "Dark Souls," "Dark Souls 2" or the "Scholar of the First Sin" edition a $5 discount.

Those who pre-order the game for their PS4 will also acquire the game's soundtrack that follows the same availability system as that of the PC version. They will also be granted the Fire Fades dynamic theme, which can be accessed immediately after purchase.

Lastly, early bird Xbox One buyers of "Dark Souls 3" will get to take home a copy of the first "Dark Souls" title as part of the Xbox One backwards compatibility program. The redeemable code to access the original game will be provided via Xbox message one week to 10 days after the order placement.

Bandai Namco is also offering for all consoles the "Dark Souls 3" Deluxe Edition, which comes with a copy of the game and post-launch DLCs all for $85. It offers the same pre-order goodies mentioned above.

There's no word on when the expansion packs will arrive but listings on Steam, Xbox Marketplace and PlayStation Store hint that there will be all-new maps, bosses and enemies as well as new weapons and armor sets. The Fire Fades theme is included in it as well.

"Dark Souls 3" will hit the shelves on April 12.
