Elektra will "break your heart" in Netflix's "Daredevil" season 2.

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Marvel TV's Executive Vice President Jeph Loeb discussed what the new female character will bring in the second season of the exclusive web TV series.

"You will fall in love with Elodie Yung as Elektra, and she will break your heart, because that's what Elektra does to people," the Marvel TV exec revealed.

The TV adaptation of the Marvel comic book superhero recently became controversial after character creator Frank Miller dissed the version that will be introduced in "Daredevil" season 2.

When asked about his thoughts about Elektra's appearance in the Netflix-produced series during the CCXP comic book show in Brazil in December 2015, the graphic novelist said: "They can do whatever they want, that is not her."

But series co-showrunner Doug Petrie answered Miller's criticism in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying that he respected the character creator's opinion.

"I'm a huge fan of what he did, so the [criticism] doesn't go both ways," Petrie explained. "I wouldn't say, 'What does Frank Miller know?' I'm so inspired by him and what he achieved and I'm trying to take it further and enrich her. She's an empowered woman with her own agency, she's nobody's victim."

Loeb further discussed how Elektra will fit into the story of Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) as well as his biggest enemy Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) when the series returns for season 2.

"What's fantastic about the story is, is that it's created this enormous division in his life, because the woman that he once loved has returned, and she certainly has some issues with morality, and how you get the job done, and going on the other end of the spectrum is Frank Castle, who believes that justice needs to be served in a particular way," Loeb explained.

"Daredevil" season 2 will be released by Netflix on March 18.
