The Chinese New Year celebration is made extra explosive with the release of the latest promo trailer of "Daredevil" season 2.

In the trailer, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen is slowly rising while fireworks for the Chinese New Year celebration are being lit in the background.

While it does not provide additional information about the plot for season 2, the trailer also reminds fans that the Daredevil's (Charlie Cox) job in fighting crime is not yet finished. It also comes with a statement saying "The time has come to settle all debts."

The trailer also formally introduces Jon Bernthal's character the Punisher. Though he is not seen in the clip, the Punisher makes his presence felt when he is heard saying "Bang!"

In a previous interview with Collider, series co-showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez talked about how the Punisher and Elodie Yung's character Elektra will affect the Daredevil's situation in season 2.

"We knew we had 13 episodes, so we wanted to find the coolest story we could do with these three characters and make the story feel really vibrant and alive in ways that are exciting to us," Ramirez shared. "Most importantly, we wanted to make sure everything runs through Matt because it could easily become the Punisher story or the Elektra story that Matt cameos in, and not vice versa."

Petrie revealed that the Punisher and Elektra are very powerful characters that can be easily explored. He also revealed that the writers can come up with really amazing stories involving the two characters that can overshadow Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

"We never peeled back and said, 'Okay, let's water that down to make room for Matt.' We were like, 'Okay, let's keep this if we love it, but completely turn it over and look at how this affects Matt and filter it through that prism.' I think we were pretty successful, overall," the series co-creator said.

The "Daredevil" season 2 will be released by Netflix on Friday, March 18.

Everyone has a debt to pay. Have you paid yours? Happy Chinese New Year from Hell's Kitchen.
