'Dancing with the Stars' season 22 casting news: 2 NFL stars to compete on the ABC dance floor

The list of celebrities joining "Dancing with the Stars" season 22 now includes Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, new reports confirmed.

According to AOL News, Brown will join fellow NFL player and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller in competing in the long-running dance competition for celebrities during its 22<sup>nd season.

Brown and Miller will have the opportunity to join the ranks of fellow NFL stars Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward, and Donald Driver, who have all competed on the highest-rating dance show.

Other confirmed celebrity contestants for "Dancing with the Stars" season 22 include "Fuller House" star Jodie Sweetin, "The OC" alum Mischa Barton, "Good Morning America" meteorologist Ginger Zee, "The Real Housewives" cast member Kim Fields, "America's Next Top Model" winner Nyle DiMarco, talk show host Geraldo Rivera, and actress and Donald Trump's former wife Marla Maples.

Meanwhile, "The Bachelor" season 20 star Ben Higgins is also reported to join the show. But he told E! News that he still has to weigh his options before committing to join the reality competition.

"I'm not against any opportunity that presents itself... I need to analyze if that option was there to say, OK, is this the best thing for me?... I don't know yet, I don't. I don't want to say this is the way I'm going to go with it because I haven't decided," Higgins said.

The rest of the celebrities who will join the line-up of contestants for season 22 will be introduced on Tuesday, March 8.

Meanwhile, longtime host Tom Bergeron will have to miss the casting announcement and the premiere episode of "Dancing with the Stars" season 22 on March 21 due to his mother's death. Bergeron's mother died just four months after his father, who died in October.
