'Dancing with the Stars' 2016 cast rumors: Scott Disick wants $500k to appear in competition?

ABC is allegedly eyeing "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Scott Disick to join the "Dancing with the Stars" season 22 (2016). This isn't the first time the reality star was rumored to join the long-running dance competition.

Last year, there were also reports that he will be joining "Dancing with the Stars" season 21 but this did not come to pass as fans would know. This year, he won't be stepping into the ballroom either.

According to an insider who spoke to US Weekly, Disick is "in no shape to be talking about those things right now." For those who haven't been following "KUWTK," Disick split with partner Kourtney Kardashian last summer and was in rehab after.

The other factor that impedes Disick from joining "Dancing with the Stars" season 22 is that he is allegedly asking ABC for $500,000 in order for him to appear on the show. The same US Weekly insider says the network "would never" give him that kind of fee.

ABC aims to pay celebs who join "Dancing with the Stars" the same amount, which is said to be $125,000. Contestants who go all the way to the championships get an extra $345,000.

That being said, it does not look like Disick will get the chance to be the next "DWTS" champion following last year's winner Bindi Irwin. This means that in the show's history, only two members of the Kardashian family have braved the dance floor.

Back in season 7, Kim Kardashian took the challenge. By 2011, it was her brother Rob who tried his hand on grooving and dancing in the series. Both failed to take home the Mirror Ball Trophy, although the latter managed to get to the finals. Here's a good look at the two on the show:

"Dancing with the Stars" season 22 premieres March 21 on ABC.
