'Dance Moms' season 6 updates: Will students return?

Rampant reports about the falling out between the students of the Abby Lee Dance Company and their head choreographer Abby Lee Miller continue to emerge, which could make an impact on Lifetime Network's decision for "Dance Moms" season 6.

Based on spoilers for season 5's 29th episode titled "Baby Dance Mama Drama," Abby will allegedly pit her students against each other to get a solo spot, causing added pressure for the girls while preparing for the upcoming Nationals competition.

Spoilers for this week's episode show how the girls get emotional as they prepare for their one-on-one battles. According to the show's Facebook page, Mackenzie breaks down in tears because of the pressure and Abby's tendency to push her too hard.

But it seems that the pressure works well for Mackenzie and the other girls as they earn the first place in one of the competitions. She and her sister Maddie ends in the first place in separate divisions, while another ALDC student Kendall finishes right behind Maddie.

Despite the success of her students, Abby is still facing allegations of abuse in the past because of the way she handles her dance class students. Several viewers have been lobbying since 2014 for Lifetime to pull out the show because of the emotional crumbling that are being experienced by the underage students because of the dance school owner.

Recent reports claim that several ADLC students will not return to the show's sixth season because of Abby's lack of attention to their needs, as well as her obvious preference to her favorite student Maddie. One of the 13-year-old dancer/ model's friendships that was developed in the show reportedly crumbled because of Abby.

"I think that everyone was so obsessed with the Maddie vs. Chloe thing because Abby... showed most of her attention to us two," Maddie said.

At the moment, Lifetime has yet to confirm who among the students will return for the next season of the dance reality show.
