Could Ciara be walking down the aisle soon?

MediaTakeOut reported that the "1, 2, Step" singer and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson got engaged recently.

While reps for both the singer and the NFL star have yet to comment about the news, the website claimed that a source very close to the singer provided information about Ciara and Wilson's supposed engagement. According to the report, Wilson staged a simple but elegant proposal to ask her hand in marriage.

The report also mentioned that Wilson gave Ciara a highly cherished family heirloom as an engagement ring. It was mentioned that the ring was handed to him after his father passed away. According to the report, the engagement ring is not overly flashy, but it holds a lot of significance since it bears a representation of his Native American heritage.

The website also mentioned that the singer has been wearing the ring in a chain around her neck. But she is reportedly only wearing it whenever she is staying in Seattle and removes it when travelling for work.

If true, this would not be the first time that Ciara has been engaged as she accepted the proposal of rapper Future in October 2013, but they called off the engagement in August 2014. The two have a one-year-old son named Future Zahir Wilburn.

The website also revealed that the 30-year-old singer and the 27-year-old football star are planning to get married during NFL's off season.

Ciara and Wilson's relationship began in April, and they made headlines after the couple announced that they will be abstaining from physical intimacy until they get married.

But their relationship continues to be hounded by several controversies, including the cheating allegations involving Ciara and the father of her son. But the singer refused to address any of the rumors and remained tight-lipped about the controversies.
