Chrissy Teigen revealed her second child would be a baby boy

Following the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Chrissy Teigen revealed that her second child with husband John legend is going to be a baby boy.

Teigen announced the news in an Instagram post. She posted a red carpet photo of herself wearing a dazzling "silver Yanina Couture gown featuring long bell sleeves, cinched at the waist to accentuate her growing belly," according to PEOPLE, while her hand rested on her baby bump. She captioned the photo, "Mama and her baby boy."

The 32-year-old first announced the news concerning her second pregnancy last November on Instagram by posting a short video featuring baby Luna pointing to Teigen's belly and saying "BB!" The model has been mostly public about her pregnancy since her first time with baby Luna, who's turning two years old this April.

However, it seems that Teigen and Legend already knew the sex of their second baby even way before she's pregnant. More than a year ago, Teigen revealed on Twitter that the couple's last embryo—which was created using in vitro fertilization or IVF—was male. So basically, the couple doesn't have a choice in the outcome.

Teigen first revealed the fact in a red carpet interview in January 2017 when she was asked if she's going to have more children on which she responded, "a little boy" would be "next for sure." To clear the controversy, she then posted a tweet to clarify the matter. "Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah," she wrote.

Teigen and Legend also conceived through IVF with their first child, Luna, because of fertility issues. It stirred up quite a controversy at the time, as Teigen revealed that she explicitly chose their baby's sex through IVF. Teigen received a ton of backlash, as many people think that choosing one's baby's sex is unethical.

In a tweet, Teigen responded to all the hate by saying, "We didn't create a little girl. we had multiple embryos. girls and boys. we simply chose to put in a female first ... you'd be surprised at how many people you know go through this. also every doctor knows the sex of the embryos, it isn't some grand secret."

It isn't yet revealed whether when Teigen's second baby is due, but since she looked far along in her pregnancy, everyone is expecting the baby to be born in a few months. Congratulations Chrissy and John!
