Anna (Charlotte Sullivan) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) will encounter a minor issue in their relationship in an upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire" season 5.

In the most recent episode of NBC's firehouse drama, Severide introduced Anna to his father, Benny (Treat Williams). Severide was left confused when Anna abruptly walked out without giving any reason why. This led Severide to believe her awkward exit was because of his father's demeanor and that of his younger girlfriend.

However, something else is actually bothering Anna. Once Severide figures it out, the issue will pose a threat in their blossoming relationship. Executive producer Derek Haas recently caught up with TV Guide and he shared some details on the new problem in Severide and Anna's relationship.

"Severide, who is not always the most in tune with other people's feelings, sniffs out what's really happening," Haas explained, adding, "Of all the women that have been in Severide's life, there's a real connection with Anna."

Unfortunately, it remains to be seen if that is enough for them to easily resolve this latest curveball.

The series is currently on a two-week break and will return on April 25. When the program comes back to the small screen next week, Casey (Jesse Spencer) will meet up with his old pal Jason (guest star Kamal Angelo Bolden), whose squad will get assigned a change of quarters while a rig issue is being fixed.

Brett (Kara Killmer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) will continue to spend time in retraining, and they will show off their unique skills in every task. Now that Connie (DuShon Monique Brown) is back from her family engagement, members of the crew lay bets on how long her temporary replacement Marcy (guest star Mia Hulen) will last in the field. Severide, on the other hand, will seek help from unlikely sources as he deals with his issue with Anna.

The fifth season of "Chicago Fire" airs every Tuesday night at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
