After "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" was released on Nov. 4, the game developers are already coming up with a patch update that contains several bug fixes as well as boosters to improve the game's connectivity.
Sledgehammer Games studio executive and co-founder Michael Condrey teased the contents of the patch, which includes:
- Prestige reset issues, including emblems and challenges.
- Adjustment to the in-game chat names notifications placement.
- Fix for weapon reloads counting as speed reloads in certain circumstances.
- Connectivity optimizations.
- Fix for stats accumulating toward leaderboards after prestiging.
- Adjustment to challenges to unlock Camos for weapons.
- Fix for round-based game modes, affecting Win/Loss ratios.
- Implemented ability to unlock eSports Rule options in Private Match.
On the other hand, game publisher Activision released a statement about the gamers' inhibitions about the dedicated servers of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare." The statement reads:
"Advanced Warfare employs game servers hosted at data centers globally on all platforms and listen servers as part of our proprietary matchmaking system. Our goal is to ensure the best possible connection and greatest gameplay experience regardless of location and time of day."
Since its release, "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" sales are surpassing the records of the game's earlier editions. According to Activision, the sales number of "Advanced Warfare" had already exceeded last year's "Call of Duty: Ghosts."
However, it would be quite unfair to compare the sales of both games since "Ghosts" was not released on all gaming consoles during its time. "Advanced Warfare," on the other hand, was already available on the usual consoles as well as in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One during its launch.
"Call of Duty" holds a recognition from the Guinness Book of Records for the 2015 Gamer's Edition as the best game series ever, based on fan votes. It defeated other popular shooter franchises, including "Pokemon," "Halo," "Grand Theft Auto," as well as "Elder Scrolls."
