The team from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will officially be back on the small screen on Sunday on Fox's Sunday Primetime slot, with even more hysterical action-packed scenes this time .

The action comedy TV series will return with a lot of surprises beginning with the pilot episode, where Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) deals with his undercover mission for the FBI. He will encounter the sinister mob mistress Bianca, played by guest star Jenny Slate, who will help him end his undercover mission by bringing the last mobster to justice.

The first episode of season two will also introduce Deputy Chief Madeline Wuntch, the longtime nemesis of Captain Holt, played by Andre Braugher. Wuntch will be played by "The Closer" star Kyra Sedgwick, who will have a guest starring role for two episodes this season. She will keep Captain Holt at the edge of his seat as she inspects the team for a precinct-wide evaluation.

However, those who are rooting for the Peraltiago love angle will be disappointed, at least for now. E! Online reported that Jake's love confession for partner Amy Santiago, played by Melissa Fumero, last season will be disregarded for now since it is confirmed that Amy's detective boyfriend Teddy will return at the start of the season. Teddy will be portrayed by actor Kyle Bornheimer.

The report said that since Jake's stint as an undercover agent for the FBI kept him away from Amy and the precinct, he will surprisingly make her aware about his feelings for her at the beginning of the season.

"However, don't expect sparks to start flying between these two co-workers, since Amy is still with Teddy (even though Jake is clearly the much better choice for her!). But don't worry! There's still hope for something romantic down the road. We might just have to endure a friendship between them a little while longer," E! pointed out.

Executive producer Mike Schur had earlier confirmed that the romantic arc between Jake and Amy will not be given emphasis this season.

During the TCA Press Tour, Schur shared a little detail about the Peraltiago love affair. "It's going to be one of the elements of the show that we're going to follow as the year goes on," he said.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will start its second season on Sunday, Sept. 28, on Fox Channel. If you miss the premiere episode, be sure to catch it online on FOX.
