'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' season 3 spoilers: Holt's former lover to drop by for Thanksgiving in episode 4

Capt. Holt (Andre Braugher) seems to have something to look forward to in the Thanksgiving episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3.

Entertainment Weekly revealed that the former Commanding Officer of NYPD's 99<sup>th Precinct, who has since become a PR man, will get a visit from his ex-boyfriend Frederick, who will be portrayed by "Parks and Recreation" alum Nick Offerman.

Frederick will reportedly drop by during the Nov. 22 episode title "Ava," which will coincide with Thanksgiving.

While details about the episode's plot remains scarce, the report revealed that Holt and Frederick will cross paths once again when Terry's (Terry Crews) wife Sharon (Merrin Dungey) gives birth to their third child. But how will Holt's husband Kevin Cozner (Marc Evan Jackson) react when he finds out that a former lover is in town?

Meanwhile, things may not look good for Jake (Andy Samberg) in the upcoming episode of "Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 3 after he was entangled in a doomed love affair in the previous episode. This time, the detective will be caught in the middle of a serious case involving a serial killer. Will he manage to solve this case soon?

The spoilers for the episode reveal that Jake will ask his former boss Holt to help him with the case. But will Holt grant his request even if he no longer works for the crime fighting division of the law enforcement agency?

Meanwhile, Terry's latest obsession brings more laughter to the show in this particular episode.

The synopsis for the episode titled "The Oolong Slayer" reads:

"When investigating a serial killer, Jake enlists Holt's help in an attempt to solve the case off the radar. At the precinct, Rosa and Amy are forced to deal with demands from an old adversary and Terry discovers a new obsession."

"Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 3 episode 4 airs on Sunday, Oct. 18, on Fox.
