"Borderlands" fans had been waiting for an MMORPG version of the action-packed first-person shooter game for the longest time. But now that it will finally come out, only those living in China will be able enjoy it.

On Monday, Chinese game publishing company Shanda Interactive announced that they are coming out with the "Borderlands Online" game in PC and mobile editions. The game's development is currently in progress, and Shanda is working with Gearbox Software and 2K Games to make it a reality.

Kotaku reported that "Borderlands Online" players will have the opportunity to play as one of the four different characters that are almost the same as those featured in the first "Borderlands" title that was released back in 2009. It will include the hunter, the soldier, the siren, as well as someone that seems to be a berserker.

Alhough no exact details have been given about the gameplay, reports are saying that "Borderlands Online" will come out sometime next year.

The move to bring the MMO version of "Borderlands" in China is not surprising since the country is known as the biggest MMO market worldwide. And because the game will be offered in a free-play mode, it will definitely be a hit for those who are in the country.

Meanwhile, the next "Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel" DLC paid pack will be launched next week, but those who are not willing to pay can still get several free contents soon.

Gearbox content editor Andrew Goldfarb explained the set-up for downloading the DLC pack, saying, "After you've downloaded the update, Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode will be unlocked for any character once they have completed the main story missions in True Vault Hunter Mode and reached level 50."

He also said that DLC players are given the opportunity to reset their mission progress whenever they like using the main menu so that they can play the game again for numerous times.

The DLC pack will be sold individually for $9.99, or as part of the season pass for $29.99. The "Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught" will be released on Dec. 16.
