The premiere episode of "Bones" season 11 managed to set the bar high for the succeeding installments of the series, but can they sustain the thrill and excitement for the this week's new episode?
In the season premiere, FBI agent James Aubrey discovered a torched body inside a van. Evidence suggested that the body belonged to the recently resigned FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), but Brennan (Emily Deschanel) proved that the dead man was not her husband. Instead, she found out that the burned body belonged to Booth's brother Jared (Brendan Fehr).
But Booth became one of the suspects for his brother's murder, and Brennan still has no idea where her husband is. At the end of the episode, Booth was seen wounded and hiding in an unknown location.
In the upcoming episode titled "The Brother in the Basement," viewers of the long-running crime procedural series will finally get more clues about Booth's condition. According to the official synopsis of the episode, the Jeffersonian team will find out that FBI agent Miller (guest star Kim Raver) has been hiding important information that could help locate Booth's whereabouts.
The episode will also feature the surprise appearance of FBI digital forensic scientist Dr. Benjamin Metzger (guest star Josh Casaubon). He will work with Brennan to help decode the information that the Jeffersonian failed to uncover.
While the first episodes of the series deal with Booth's mysterious disappearance, Boreanaz recently told E! News that it would be nice to end the series this season. "It's a great way to wrap the whole series up and I'm excited about that," the actor said.
Boreanaz explained that having 11 seasons has already allowed the series to give viewers an amazing show. "I mean, one season is great! I don't really count it as seasons but what we've given to the show and what we can do, for me it's great to see the show come to an end and do it the way we want to do it."
But at the moment, FOX has yet to announce their plans for the future of the series since the production of season 11 is still ongoing at the moment.
