Bobbi Kristina Brown funeral news: Body to be buried next to mother Whitney Houston in New Jersey

Family and friends finally opened up about the details on Bobbi Kristina Brown's final moments before she took her last breathe on Sunday.

Pat and Gary Houston exclusively shared intimate moments with Entertainment Tonight about how their niece — the only daughter of R&B artist Bobby Brown and the late pop superstar Whitney Houston — succumbed to death six months after she was discovered lifeless and unresponsive in the bathtub of her suburban townhouse in Rosswell, Georgia.

According to the couple, those close to the 22-year-old celebrity daughter gathered around her during her final hours. The group included Pat and her brother Ray Watson, aunt Donna Houston, cousin Meeta Brown, as well as a close family friend named Wanda Shelley. The group recited a Biblical verse from Psalms 23 while waiting for the minister to arrive to give her the final blessings. They were repeatedly saying "Halleluiah" before her life ended.

A source told ET that the young woman was very peaceful and looked very calm and serene during her final moments.

Bobbi Kristina's long and difficult fight to stay alive began on Jan. 31, after her body was discovered almost drowning in her own bathtub. She was initially given a ventilator at the North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia to help her breathe, then later on placed in a medically induced coma at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The family decided to transfer her to a rehabilitation facility after doctors declared that she had irreversible brain damage. She spent her final moments at the Peachtree Christian Hospice facility, where her loved ones constantly spent time with her.

Bobbi Kristina's funeral is set to take place at St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta on Saturday, Aug. 1, in Atlanta. It is also reported that Bobbi Kristina's remains will be flown to New Jersey where the family will bury her next to her mother at the Fairview Cemetery. Long-time family friend Tyler Perry is reportedly helping the family with the funeral arrangements and her transfer to New Jersey.

Meanwhile, a source told HollywoodLife that the funeral service for Bobby and Whitney's daughter will be exclusive for the people close to her, and it will not be broadcast to the public.

"Absolutely no plans on broadcasting the funeral. Just like the deathbed photo that has been shopped around, they don't want to have anyone financially gain from her loss. The family doesn't want anyone to make money from this tragedy and make this more of a spectacle than it already has become," the source said.
