A new love story could be introduced in"Blue Bloods" season 7.

While fans of the police procedural series are rooting for a possible blossoming romance between Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and his partner Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray), talks about presenting a new love interest for the Reagan patriarch Frank (Tom Selleck) are being discussed online.

Frank decided not to remarry after his wife Mary Margaret passed away due to cancer. The NYPD commissioned officer focused on raising their children Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), Erin (Bridget Moynahan), Jamie, and his late son Joe instead of looking for a new person to love.

CarterMatt suggested that it is now the right time for Frank to be involved in a romantic relationship since it has been a while since Mary Margaret's death. The report also mentioned that Selleck's character should be given a love interest before the series is over.

If this plot will be added to the show, Frank could also prove that it is always possible for people to find love at any stage in their lives despite their age. It will also give Frank a new reason to find happiness after all the tragedy that came his way. This could perhaps allow Frank to reveal his lighter, more romantic side.

CBS has yet to confirm if the rumored plot could actually make it in "Blue Bloods" season 7. Apart from that, fans of the series are also waiting to hear the announcement regarding the actual release date of the season's premiere episode in the coming days.

"Blue Bloods" season 7 will see the return of the show's regular cast, including Amy Carlson as Linda Reagan, Len Cariou as Frank's father Henry Reagan, Sami Gayle as Erin's daughter Nicky Reagan-Boyle, as well as Marisa Ramirez as Detective Maria Baez.
