ABC's newest prime time drama "Blood and Oil" has already arrived, showcasing the exciting yet scandalous events unfolding after the big oil discovery in North Dakota.

The pilot episode began with the newlyweds Billy (Chace Crawford) and Cody (Rebecca Rittenhouse) Lefever, who decided to take a risk and move to Rock Springs, ND to try their luck in the booming oil industry.

Meanwhile, oil tycoon Hap Briggs's (Don Johnson) complicated family, composed of his socialite wife Carla (Amber Valletta), scheming son Wick (Scott Michael Foster), and illegitimate daughter Lacey (Miranda Rae Mayo), was at one another's throats as they dominate the Bakken Shale region.

But while the couple's first venture paid off when Billy managed to sell the lot that could provide the only access to Hap's newly purchased McCutching Ranch, which will be used for drilling into the oil field, Cody began to question whether this was the kind of life that she wants to have with her husband.

However, Billy was already determined to gamble everything to get the most out of the flourishing oil industry. Does this mean that he is willing to sacrifice his marriage for more money?

In the second episode of "Blood and Oil" titled "The Ripple Effect," the repercussion of Wick's crime that almost killed his father during the final moments of the premiere episode will be discussed. Will Hap find out that his own son is the one responsible for stealing an oil tanker from his company?

CarterMatt has released the episode synopsis for "Blood and Oil" episode 2, which reads:

"The aftermath of the robbery has suspicions flying as all signs indicate an inside job at Briggs Oil. Wick scrambles to do everything he can to hide his involvement, but his accomplice may prove to be too much of a wild card and expose Wick's part in the crime that nearly killed his father. Meanwhile, the arrival of Hap's daughter, Lacey, stokes a rivalry with Carla, Hap's wife. Also, Billy continues to be seduced by Hap's world and jumps into another deal with him without consulting his wife, Cody."

"Blood and Oil" airs every Sunday on ABC.
