Jimmy McGill will work with a new character in "Better Call Saul" season 2.

Entertainment Weekly revealed that actor Ed Begley Jr. will portray the role of the uber-powerful Clifford. His character is described as an "authority figure who has the power to make many of Jimmy's dreams come true, if Jimmy can only play ball."

According to "Better Call Saul" series co-creator Peter Gould, "When you first meet him, he is highly avuncular and somebody whom you'd like to spend time with and is a very sweet guy. But you wouldn't want to cross him, let's put it that way."

Begley's character is expected to appear during the midseason premiere of season 2. But he will guest star in several other episodes to help develop Jimmy's character leading to his stint in "Breaking Bad."

The actor is known for portraying recurring roles on Starz' "Blunt Talk," "Portlandia," and "Arrested Development," while he used to be a regular stint on TBS's short-lived comedy "Your Family or Mine."

Meanwhile, a trailer for "Better Call Saul" season 2 midseason premiere shows Jimmy relaxing by himself in a Mexican-themed bar complete with a Mariachi band. The struggling lawyer from Albuquerque is wearing a blue baseball cap, while the people around him are busy drinking, playing pool, or engaging in fistfights.

He repeatedly ignores the vibration of his phone. This could mean that he wants to hide from whoever was calling him, or he became very busy.

Meanwhile, "Breaking Bad" lead star Aaron Paul teased during the recently concluded Television Critics Association press tour that he might drop by in one of the future episodes of the spin-off of his popular TV series.

The actor said that he is very open to the idea of reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman as a cameo character in the new series.

"If I were to be involved, I can promise that it would be done in the most beautiful way, because there's no way they're going to bring Jesse Pinkman back just to bring him back," the actor said.

"Better Call Saul" season 2 is set to premiere on Feb. 15 on AMC.
