The Mexican singer-actress will join some of the hottest female actresses today, including "San Andreas" star Alexandra Daddario, who will portray the role of Summer Quinn in the movie, and actress-model Kelly Rohrbach as CJ Parker. Ilfenesh Hadera also joins the film as Stephanie Holden, the love interest of Johnson's character Mitch Buchannon. Efron will portray the role of Matt Brody.

David Hasselhoff, the original actor who portrayed on TV Johnson's character, is also set to appear in a cameo role in the movie.

Meanwhile, there are also reports claiming that "Quantico" star Priyanka Chopra is in talks to join the cast of "Baywatch" 2017. A source reportedly told Hindustan Times that she is currently learning the martial art called Kajukenbo for the film.

"She is always up for trying new stunts and techniques, and she is really excited about preparing for this role," the source said. "Apparently, one of the best Kajukenbo trainers in America has been hired to work with her." Chopra's possible role in the movie has not been revealed yet.

The "Baywatch" movie is slated for release on May 19, 2017.
