"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will feature the first appearance of the two of the most popular DC Comics characters together on the big screen. In the movie, Gotham City's Batman will confront Superman in Metropolis to prevent him from doing something that could hurt humanity.

The film serves as the second installment of the DC Extended Universe. It is also the launching pad for other DC Comics characters like Wonder Woman and Aquaman on the big screen before being featured in their own standalone films in the future.

Aside from the upcoming trailer, a new promo art featuring Batman and Superman was released alongside the original tie-in novel written by Michael Kogge. The description of the book titled "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – Cross Fire" in Amazon reveals that it will feature the original story prior to the events that will happen in the film.
