'Batman Return to Arkham' release date: Collection tipped to arrive November but could be early 2017

Last month, it was announced that "Batman: Return to Arkham" is delayed indefinitely. No date was mentioned, but now it is being reported that it will finally be available this November.

The collected edition was supposed to be released yesterday, July 26. Warner Bros. Games stated in announcing the delay that the developers at Virtuous Games need "additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham experience."

"We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans," the company went on to write.

According to sources that spoke to Eurogamer, however, the earliest target date for the launch of "Batman: Return to Arkham" is November.

However, the site also said that it could take as long as early next year for the remastered games to get here. The problem comes from Virtuous Games' end.

Warner Bros. was not very specific about what was causing delay of "Batman: Return to Arkham," but it is being reported that the China-based game studio is reportedly having issues with frame rate that are taking too long to deal with.

Poor port quality is not something that developer Rocksteady Studios wants to put out after the same disaster cost what would have been a great sales performance for the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight."

With a legion of gamers looking forward to "Batman: Return to Arkham" and expecting Warner Bros. to deliver, especially after the delay, Rocksteady intends to live up to the expectations.

Announced back in May, the collected edition features a remastered versions of the 2009 hit "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and its sequel "Batman: Arkham City" released 2011.

Both titles were designed for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, but Rocksteady and Warner Bros. intend to bring the experience to the current-generation consoles with "Batman: Return to Arkham."

It won't be a long wait, should the collection finally see the light of day this November. If it does not, fans should prepare for a longer waiting game.
