Jenna's (Ashley Rickards) senior prom did not begin the way that she wanted it to, but more surprise events are expected to happen in the 10th episode of "Awkward" season 5.

In the previous episode called "Say No to the Dress," Jenna and her best friend Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed) had the most embarrassing pre-prom situation when their make-over at the salon turned out to be a disaster. Worse, the girls ran into Matty (Beau Mirchoff) and Jake (Brett Davern) while they were still in their horrible makeup and hairstyle.

But the series of unfortunate events did not end there, after the supposedly gorgeous white floor-length gown that Jenna was supposed to wear got ruined when her dad made her drink wine from a sippy cup that was unscrewed. Since finding a new dress a few minutes before prom night could be quite a challenge, she was left with no choice but wear the puffy wedding gown that T found. But T tried to make a "Pretty in Pink" in the bathroom by ripping it off. However, it made the dress look more disastrous.

Can Jenna still find any redemption point in her final high school prom?

The previous episode also showed Matty and Sadie's (Molly Tarlov) conversation inside the limo. Sadie realized that Matty is really in love with Jenna, and even if she strongly disapproves of it, she told Matty that he should tell Jenna the truth.

"Matthew, even though it pains me to say this, you are in love with Jenna Hamilton," she said. "And even though I think that it is a sick, compulsive fetish which I obviously incurable, you have to tell her. Because if you don't you'll be the saddest king in prom land. And I can't let that happen."

Will Matty finally have the courage to tell Jenna that he still loves her? But based on the synopsis of the next installment of "Awkward" season 5 titled "Reality Does Not Bite," unexpected things are bound to happen.

The synopsis for the episode reads: "The prom takes unexpected turns."

"Awkward" season 5 episode 10 airs on Monday, Nov. 2, on MTV.
