"Avengers: Infinity War" is rumored to feature the death of an Avenger. As more casting details and plot spoilers surface, some fans are getting more and more reasons to worry about Thor (Chris Hemsworth).

Rumors have it that the epic battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin) will end with the demise of the god of thunder. It is even speculated that before this tragedy, he will also lose the power of the Mjolnir.

If that report is to be believed, "Avengers: Infinity War" will take a really wide turn as it is basically jumbling the original Avenger lineup in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After Thor reportedly dies, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), who will be introduced in "Thor: Ragnarok," will allegedly take his place as the new wielder of the Mjolnir in "Avengers: Infinity War."

The Avengers in the MCU will never be the same again with Valkyrie then reportedly joining the squad.

Rumors about Thor's imminent death aren't unprecedented. It is believed that "Thor: Ragnarok," which recently started production, will mark the end for the Asgardian.

"Ragnarok" practically means that doom of the gods. It is believed that this event will once befall on Asgard and reduce it to nothing and that Thor will do everything in his power to stop it, but his efforts will be in vain.

As it is always with rumors, readers are advised to take this report with a grain of salt. At the moment, not much official details have been revealed about "Avengers: Infinity War." Filming is still a long way off.

"Avengers: Infinity War" comes in two parts. It is the culmination of the Marvel continuity that has been established in the past Marvel movies.

The films will include a whole host of MCU characters including the Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and friends from "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Spider-Man (Tom Holland).

The first part of "Avengers: Infinity War" is set to be released on May 4, 2018.
