Thanos has only appeared several times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a computer-generated CGI form. This is reportedly set to change in "Avengers: Infinity War."

The costume makers at Ironhead Studios revealed via their Instagram account a mock-up of the fearsome Mad Titan. It is believed to be the new look of Thanos in "Avengers: Infinity War."

Thanos first appeared in the "Avengers" movie, where a mix of CG and practical effects were used. When he paid a visit in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron," he was pure CGI.

Ironhead Studios, who has worked on big franchises such as "Avengers" and "Batman Returns," appears to have revealed what Thanos will look like in the upcoming two-parter, where he will be the big bad.

However, it is important to note that their involvement in the film has yet to be set in stone. However, having worked in "Avengers" before, the studio might be lending their talents to "Avengers: Infinity War."

Meanwhile, Josh Brolin, who plays the role of Thanos, recently sang praises to "Avengers: Infinity War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo for their work on the films.

"I think these guys are just masterful at telling stories. They are into it. It is really fun. They are like the Coen brothers in their own way," the actor said via Yahoo.

"You know they go to Palm Springs and they rent a house for a week and they flip burgers. They talk about the things Thanos could do. It is amazing," he went on to say.

Brolin also said that he was "completely and utterly blown away" by the story to be featured in "Avengers: Infinity War," where Thanos will get more screen time.

The first part of "Avengers: Infinity War" will be released on May 4, 2018 while the second part drops May 3, 2019. There are approximately 67 characters expected to appear in the films.
