False Alarm!

Creators of "Attack on Titan" have squashed rumors that the second season of the hit Japanese manga will be released July 26, 2015. The bogus reports were released in different media outlets.

Apparently, the rumor began circulating amongst manga-fans when a Singapore-based Otako House, an online shop that sells cosplay costumes as well as other related goods and similar services, announced the false date.

The unverified reports spread rapidly on different social media websites. However, the New York-based iDigitalTimes technology news website quickly made a clarification stating that Wit Studios, the creator of the series, had not even began working on the second season.

In a report, iDigitalTimes stated that there is a good reason why Wit Studios has yet to work on the "Attack on Titan" season two premiere

The report read:  "Even after just one series, the show has covered a pretty substantial portion of the manga - a little more than half of it, in fact. The key words there are 'a little more.' It stands to reason that the second series will cover just about as much ground as the first series. And that means, if it came out right now, the anime would pass the material in the books."

"Attack on Titan," based on the hit Japanese manga Shingeki No Kyojin, revolves around the life of Eren Jaeger, who is part of an elite group of fighters vowing to help preserve the clan of titans.

Fans were quickly hooked on the series because of its exceptional storyline and its amazing visuals and animation.

There are more unconfirmed reports that the second season of the much-awaited series will be released August 15, 2015. Still, the studios have yet to confirm this.
