The release date announcement for the second season of "Attack on Titan" is still kept as a secret, but fans are already eager to know when the anime series will be released.

Based on speculations that were released earlier, Wit Studio may release "Attack on Titan" season 2 in the second half or last quarter of 2015, but the studio is still mum about the validity of these reports.

Fans of the hit anime adaptation of the very popular Japanese manga series "Shingeki no Kyojin," created by Hajime Isayama, have to be contented with the soon-to-be released two-part live action movies.  The first one will be aired on Nov. 22, wherein the first 13 episodes of the season will be featured. The second movie, on the other hand, will be aired sometime next year. According to reports, the second movie titled "Wings of Freedom" will showcase the remaining episodes in season 1.

There will also be a prequel spin-off for the anime, which will be aired on Dec. 9. The spin-off series, which was given the title "No Regrets," will focus on the journey of Commander Erwin before he reached his current position. The entire spin-off series will reportedly last until April 9.

Another notable development in the "Attack on Titan" franchise is the crossover chapter between the Japanese manga and Marvel Universe.  This was confirmed by a Marvel talent scout known as C. B. Cebulski, who earlier posted the announcement on Twitter saying that "Attack on Titan" and the Marvel Universe will be interacting with each other.

"Not a joke, folks. Attack on Titan and the @Marvel universe are crossing over! In 2 weeks. In Japan. Want a teaser?" the talent scout said.

However, both Marvel and Izayama did not divulge any further details about the alleged crossover. It will be published and released in Japan, and no information is given if it will be distributed internationally.
