As per rumors, "Attack on Titan" season 2 will mark the death of Armin Arlert. In the latest chapter of the manga by Hajime Isayama, the character met a heroic end at the hands of the Colossal Titan.

In their bid to eliminate two of the most dangerous flesh-eating giants, Armin and the Survey Corps set out to take on the said Titan, which was accompanied by the Armored Titan.

Armin devised a plan to defeat the humongous enemies, but little did his friends know the plan involved him sacrificing his life. "Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to feature this moment.

As fans already know, the anime covers four arcs from the manga. Armin's death took place in the third chapter that "Attack on Titan" season 2 is supposed to cover. The chapter is also the latest one put out by Isayama.

That being said, Wit Studio is still awaiting the release of the fourth chapter, which should complete "Attack on Titan" season 2. As per reports, the production was delayed because the animation studio is waiting for the said chapter.

Other exciting story arcs to expect in "Attack on Titan" season 2 include the introduction of the Beast Titan and the bigger role of Ymir, who hasn't been much of a presence in the first season.

Ymir is said to hold the key to information regarding the origins of Titans. An entire chapter in the manga is named and focused on her.

The chapter in question comes from the "Clash of the Titans" arc, which is the starting point of "Attack on Titan" season 2.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to premiere later this year.
