Popular action-adventure anime "Attack on Titan" is getting another video game adaptation. Titled "Attack on Titan 2," the game is slated for a March 2018 release. Much to the excitement of the fans, the upcoming game will also feature a multiplayer mode.

According to Video Gamer, there's a lot of multiplayer content for friends looking to slay titans together. Fans of the series can play the main story in cooperative mode, and aside from that, there's a competitive mode where players go toe to toe against each other, a mission mode, and an annihilation mode where players form teams and work together to best the Titans and save the day.

There's something for everyone.

Similar to its predecessor, "Attack on Titan 2" is still set in the "Attack on Titan" anime universe. However, unlike the first game, the second one takes place during the anime's second season. Familiar characters from the show and first game will be returning, and while it's still the same story about slaying titans and saving humanity, "Attack on Titan 2" has made some gameplay choices.

According to Game Spot, "Attack on Titan 2" added a character relation mechanic. Players will be able to create bonds between themselves and the multiple characters from the "Attack on Titan" universe. Depending on the player's choices and how the story goes, they'll have the chance to improve their relationships. Aside from that, stealth mechanics have also been added to the game.

In game mechanics aside, players will also be able to create and customize their own characters.

"Attack on Titan" started as a manga series in 2009 before it was adapted into an anime 2013. The show immediately gained popularity, with many anime fans praising the intense combat and harrowing storyline. A few people complained about the violence, but for the most part, the show received positive reviews and was renewed for a second season.

The game "Attack on Titan 2" will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
