Microsoft officially announced the file size of the soon-to-be released "Assassin's Creed: Syndicate" for Xbox One days before the game comes out in the market.

Based on the listing posted on the Xbox Store website, the upcoming ninth major installment from the "Assassin's Creed" series will come out with a file size that weighs 40.27 GB on Xbox One. It means that the new "Assassin's Creed" title will have the same size as its predecessor, the 2014-released "Assassin's Creed: Unity."

With the game set in 1868 London during the time of the Industrial Revolution, players are instructed to lead an underground organization. They have to become known in the underground organization to fight the oppression and make a huge impact on the lives of the less fortunate.

According to the official game plot, an assassin fights for the rights of the struggling masses during the Industrial revolution era, which ignited a historical conflict. "Create the world's first organized crime family. Conquer the streets of London. Bring the ruling class to their knees. And rise to lead the London underworld in a visceral adventure unlike anything you've played before," the game description states.

The game centers on the adventures of the Frye twins Jacob and Evie. They will both eradicate the ruthless tyranny of the Templars in London by infiltrating the city's criminal underworld with the help of several popular historical figures like Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens.

"Assassin's Creed: Syndicate" is the second major installment of the best-selling series that was not developed by Ubisoft Montreal, one of the largest subsidiaries of the Montreuil, France-based video game developer and publisher. This time, Ubisoft Quebec will be the lead studio that will handle the game.

But while info on the file size for the Xbox One version of the game has been released, the details for the PlayStation 4 edition of the "Assassin's Creed: Syndicate" has not been announced yet.

"Assassin's Creed: Syndicate" Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions will start selling on Oct. 23, while the PC version will be released on Nov. 19.
