"Assassin's Creed: Origins" will be released on Oct. 27 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The newest addition to the "Assassin's Creed" franchise, "Origins" will explore the history and the beginnings of the conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templars.

According to the game's developer and publisher Ubisoft, "Assassin's Creed: Origins" will feature rebuilt combat and that players will be able to experience all new ways of fighting alongside discovering rare and powerful new weapons. The company shares on the game's official website, "With the new combat system, fighting in Assassin's Creed Origins has been fully redesigned around weapon hitbox positioning rather of timed animations, giving you far more control over every combat encounter."

However, Ubisoft also states that enemies will be given the same advantage; so, players will need to pay close attention to their timing and positioning. An adrenaline gauge was also added to the game, allowing players to build up energy as they fight and unleash devastating powered up blows on their enemies in times of need.

"Assassin's Creed Origins" also features different weapon types with different strengths and hitboxes. Examples of the weapon variety available are heavy weapons for knocking enemies to the ground, swords for combo moves and fast attacks, long weapons that allow players to keep distance between themselves and their enemies, bows for long ranged combat, and a variety of shields for protecting oneself from enemy attacks.

Aside from the differences in usage, weapons will have three different rarities: common, rare, and legendary, with the latter providing the most advantage in combat.

"Assassin's Creed Origins" will also be releasing a Season Pass that will allow players who purchase it to have access to The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaos downloadable content where players with the former taking place years after Origin and the latter allowing players to face off against new foes in a new realm. The Season's Pass will also give those who purchase it access to a handful of new goodies and the Calamity Blade.
