'Arrow' season 3 episode 10 spoilers: The world awaits Oliver's return

Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) fate will still be uncertain when "Arrow" season 3 returns later this month. However, that does not mean that the lawless in Starling City will have a field day, since the Arrow's friends will be busy stepping up for their dear friend who is presumed to be dead.

Based on spoilers, Oliver's task of saving Starling City from the bad guys will be filled up by his friends John Diggle (David Ramsey), Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), and Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) while he is still missing. But when will the Arrow come back if he is still alive?

The third season will return with its 10th episode titled "Left Behind," which has a synopsis that reads:

"In the aftermath of Oliver's fight with Ra's al Ghul, Diggle, and Arsenal continue to protect the city in the Arrow's absence. However, after three days without hearing from Oliver, they begin to fear the worst may have happened to their friend. Felicity refuses to believe that Oliver could be dead until Merlyn (John Barrowman) pays the team a surprise visit. Thea (Willa Holland) suspects there is something more behind Oliver's disappearance and asks Merlyn for a favor. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tests a part of his new suit and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) takes up the mantle of the Black Canary."

Speaking of Malcolm Merlyn, some speculations are saying that he will be the one to save Oliver after the latter had a confrontation with Ra's al Ghul and was pushed off a cliff. This rumor stems from one of the interviews of actor John Barrowman with GreenArrowTV, who said that he shot a scene on a cold mountain, which many believe to be the site where Oliver fell.

Also, the titles of the next four episodes of "Arrow" season 3 have been revealed. They are:

  • Episode 11: "Midnight City"
  • Episode 12: "Uprising"
  • Episode 13: "Canaries"
  • Episode 14: "The Return"

"Arrow" season 3 returns on The CW on Jan. 21 following its winter hiatus.
