Felicity Smoak's fate will be revealed when the second half of "Arrow" season 4 returns on The CW after its long winter break.

In the newest trailer released for the midseason premiere of "Arrow" season 4, Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) fiancé and Green Arrow's alter ego Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) appeared to be very angry after the events that happened in episode 9 titled "Dark Waters."

Arrow/Oliver was seen going around Star City while looking for Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) to make him pay for abducting Felicity and endangering her life. His friends and members of Team Arrow expressed their support for the furious hero, including John Diggle (David Ramsey), who reminded him that he will always have his back no matter what.

It seems like Felicity survived Darhk's evil plans, but it does not mean that she is already out of danger. In one of the scenes in the trailer, Oliver's sister Thea (Willa Holland) told him that Felicity is already "out of surgery." However, she also added that her doctor did not reveal what went wrong.

More speculations about Felicity's severe condition stemmed from the scene where Oliver was comforting her mother Donna (Charlotte Ross). Oliver was also seen mourning in front of a grave, vowing that he will kill those responsible for the killing of the person inside the buried coffin.

Some fans are speculating that Felicity is the one who will die in the upcoming episode, while others believe that Oliver's fiancée will turn into the character Oracle.

In the original DC Comics story, Batman's trusted ally Barbara Gordon a.k.a. Batgirl chose to adopt the persona of Oracle when she became wheelchair-bound after being attacked by The Joker.

Oracle continued to be useful to the DC superhero despite being paralyzed from waist down by working as an information source.

Fans will find out the real state of Felicity's life when "Arrow" season 4 returns on Wednesday, Jan. 20, on The CW.
