Emily Bett Rickards said that the relationship between her character Felicity and Stephen Amell's Oliver will intensify when "Arrow" returns for season 4.

The third season ended with Oliver's decision to retire from being the Arrow. He left Starling City to start a new life with Felicity. This means that things will continue to heat up between the two next season.

In an interview with Access Hollywood during the Comic-Con 2015 weekend, Rickards said that she is happy to see Felicity and Oliver finally happy together as a couple. She believes that Oliver's admission that he is happy with Felicity is something that not everyone can say.

"It's not a thing a lot of people say to be honest. You never really state that you're happy. 'Hello,' 'How are you?' 'I'm good,' and it's usually on autopilot. And having somebody... like recognize that they're happy is huge... monumental, especially for someone [who has] gone through so much in the past maybe 10 years even. I mean, that's a long time," the actress said.

Rickards also stated that Felicity will be more confident and assured of her deeper relationship with Oliver, which means that the dynamics between the two will change in the upcoming season. The actress explained that her character used to be on the edge whenever she had to interact with Oliver because of her hidden feelings. But now, she can comfortably act around him without having to worry if he will notice that she is in love with him.

But the couple and the rest of Team Arrow will not just focus on their love lives next season since the threat of a new Starling City baddie looms around the corner. The Hollywood Reporter recently confirmed that H.I.V.E. leader Damien Darhk will seek his revenge against the League of Assassins and wreak havoc in the city in season 4. The role will be portrayed by "Desperate Housewives" alum Neal McDonough.

By the looks of it, Damien Darkh is a really dangerous opponent. All the new costume changes could come in handy, specifically for Oliver, who will now wear the Green Arrow costume. John Diggle will also get his own costume — actor David Ramsey revealed the news about his character during "Arrow's" panel at the recently concluded Comic-Con 2015.

"Arrow" season 4 will premiere with the episode titled "Green Arrow" on Oct. 7 on The CW.
