Though Ariana Grande was already seen holding hands with rapper Big Sean, the "Problem" singer continues to keep mum about the alleged relationship.
A source reportedly told HollywoodLife that the new couple has been long-time friends, but they developed special feelings for each other after collaborating for the song "Best Mistake."
But why hide the relationship from the fans?
According to sources, the couple is just taking their time before admitting the budding romance to the public.
"They're trying to decide how to handle this because they weren't planning on telling people, but it's getting to the point where they can't hide it anymore; they're falling in love and they don't like having to lie about it," the source stated.
It is speculated that the couple are just keeping things on the down low so that the public will continue to keep their attention on their single.
"They wanted to keep it a secret because they were worried it would take away from the music. Her team would rather she stay single, but Ariana does what she wants; she's not the type to let anyone tell her what to do or who to love. They're going to come out as a couple very soon because she wants to tell the world how amazing Sean is; she hates having to hide it," the source added.
But when Ryan Seacrest asked the former Nickelodeon star about the real deal between her and Big Sean in his show "On Air with Ryan Seacrest," the pop singer provided an open-ended statement.
"I mean, I guess, curiosity man, it'll kill you," Grande shared. "I don't know what to say, Ryan. Why are you doing this me? I'll tell you. I'll tell you when we're not on the air. I trust you. I've known you a long time. I don't know about these millions of people listening in right now."
Grande recently broke up with Jai Brooks, and Big Sean was previously engaged with Glee star Naya Rivera before he reportedly broke it off a few months ago.
