"Fantastic Four" and "The Incredible Hulk" actor Tim Blake Nelson is set to join the cast of the upcoming third installment of "Olympus Has Fallen" series, "Angel Has Fallen."

Deadline reported on Feb. 23 that Nelson will co-star in the upcoming film starring Gerard Butler as Secret Service Agent Mike Banning and Morgan Freeman as President Trumbull. Nelson will join the supporting cast alongside "Girls Trip" and "Gotham" actress Jada Pinkett Smith, "Covert Affairs" and "Looper" actress Piper Perabo and "The Angel" Israeli actress Sapir Azulay.

The details of the film's plot are kept under tight wraps. According to Den of Geek, the title of the upcoming installment, "Angel Has Fallen," suggests that the President's plane, Air Force One, which uses the codename "Angel," will be the target of the terrorist attacks. Variety, on the other hand, reported that Secret Service Agent Banning will be the target of the terrorists while he is mid-flight on Air Force One.

Variety also reported that the upcoming film will be directed by Ric Roman Waugh. He had previously worked with Dwayne Johnson in his 2013 film "Snitch" as well as "Game of Thrones" star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in his 2017 film-festival entry "Shot Caller."

Waugh will direct using the script drafted by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt drafted the script and re-written by Robert Kamen and Matt Cook. Butler is producing with John Thompson, Alan Siegel, Les Weldon, Matt O'Toole, and Yariv Lerner. Executive producers include Christa Campbell, Boaz Davidson, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Lati Grobman, David Bernardi and Heidi Jo Markel of Eclectic Pictures.

The film has no official release date as of the moment. However, Den of Geek reported that it will release sometime this year.
