The release of Google's latest mobile operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, is expected to happen Sept. 29.

New rumors about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow release date were recently reported by PC Advisor, claiming that the new version of the Android operating system will be unveiled together with the next-generation Nexus 5 and Nexus 6.

The website learned of the rumors from Talk Android, which suggested that the newest flagship smartphones from the Google will be unveiled on Sept. 29. However, the report also said that the upcoming Google event may not coincide with the pre-order period for both devices. According to speculations, the pre-order dates for the two new Android 6.0 Marshmallow will start on Oct. 13.

Meanwhile, a Canadian network carrier appeared to have accidentally leaked the rollout date for the newest Android mobile operating system on its website.

MobileSyrup recently spotted a post on Telus, Canada's second largest mobile network provider, claiming that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will roll out to current Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 smartphones starting Monday, Oct. 5.

However, the network provider appeared to have realized the blunder and deleted the information from their website.

But if Google will indeed release the new Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 products on Sept. 29, Telus' predicted roll out date would turn out to be true.

The new Google Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS comes with different features, including:

Final Permissions User Interface – Google improved the permissions user interface and tweaked several features of the permissions' behavior.

Updates to the Fingerprint API – this will allow an improved error reporting, enhanced fingerprint enrollment experience, as well as enumeration support that allows improved reliability.

As the Sept. 29 event is just around the corner, it won't be long before the rumors are proven accurate or not.
