Who's excited for some freak show?

The premiere episode of "American Horror Story" season 4 will be aired on Wednesday, and the fans of the hit horror-fantasy series are already eagerly counting down the moments until they get their first glimpse of the new season.

The first episode, aptly titled "Monsters Among US," is set in 1952 in a place called Jupiter, Florida. The official synopsis reads:

"One of the only surviving sideshows in the country struggles to stay in business during the dawning era of television. When police make a terrifying discovery at a local farmhouse, the eccentric purveyor of the freak show sees an opportunity that will lead her troupe either to their salvation or ruin."

The entire season allegedly revolves around the events occurring in one of the last surviving freak shows in the U.S. Reportedly, a new "clown killer" is on the loose, and has plans to kill all the remaining performers in the show.

Series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk took pride at spooking out even the members of the cast when they handed out the scripts for the season.

"Two crew members told me they have had nightmares about this clown since we started shooting -- and they're not even scared of clowns." Murphy shared.  "I think he's pretty extraordinary because, when you see why he's a clown and why he's wearing the mask ... just you wait."

"I'm worried that people are going to have cardiac arrests," the co-creator warned.

But before the beginning of the season, the cast and production of AHS hit the red carpet in Los Angeles. The cast, composed of Emma Roberts, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Kathy Bates, Gabourney Sidibe, and Angela Bassett graced the star-studded event on Oct. 5. Special guests included Glee stars Lea Michele, Darren Criss, and Chord Overstreet.  Jane Lynch also attended the red carpet premiere.

Both Roberts and Michelle wowed the fans with their thigh-high slits, but the 20-year-old actress Jyoti Amge, declared as the shortest woman in the world, outshone all the stars during that night.

The "American Horror Story: Freak Show" will debut its first episode on Wednesday, Oct. 8, on the FX Network. If you miss the premiere episode, be sure to watch it online via live stream on the FX website.
