AMD recently introduced two more of its latest graphic cards at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3. The all-new AMD Radeon RX 470 and RX 460 are all set for a June 29 release.
Like the AMD Radeon RX 480 that was unveiled previously, the Radeon RX 470 and RX 460 are based on the 14nm FinFET Polaris architecture. However, they cater to respective gaming aspects.
The AMD Radeon RX 470 is the go-to for high-definition gaming. It supports intense play at 1080p Full High-definition resolution and at 60 frames per second without hitch.
The AMD Radeon RX 460, as its name suggests, will be a lower-powered graphic card that will be working at its best with moderate -intensity games such as eSports titles.
It is also designed to support impeccable gaming experience for multiplayer online battle arena games – the likes of "League of Legends" and "Dota 2."
According to Wccftech, the 4GB GDDR5 version of the AMD Radeon RX 470 will cost around $149 while the 8GB version will be at $179.
As for the AMD Radeon RX 460, the 2GB GDDR5 model is at $99. Users will shell out $30 more to get the 4GB version of the budget graphics card.
On the other hand, the higher-powered AMD Radeon RX 490, which is touted to deliver "premium" Virtual Reality experience, is priced at $229.
The AMD Radeon RX 480, which sits between the newly unveiled RX 470 and the RX 490, is priced at $199 for 4GB and $239 for 8GB.
In a benchmark test conducted by, it was revealed that the AMD Radeon RX 460, despite being the smallest in the family, holds so much power already provided to it by the Polaris 11.
As per the test, the budget-friendly AMD GPU should be able to handle 1080p gaming set at reasonable settings. The graphics card sounds like a great steal.
