Amanda Knox consistently maintained her innocence after being accused of being involved with the murder of her former British roommate Meredith Kercher in Italy back in 2007.

According to a recent report from the Italian media, evidence pointing to an alleged relationship between Knox and a drug dealer around the time the murder happened could paint her real personality.

Allegedly, the Italian newspaper Giallo managed to obtain a police report about a drug ring that was said to be uncovered during the time of Kercher's murder investigation.

"During the course of the investigation into the Meredith Kercher murder, we have confirmed that a person whose initial is 'F' would occasionally supply drugs to Amanda Knox, as well as having a relationship with her supposedly of a sexual nature," the police report stated, as printed by the newspaper.

Giallo could not release the full name of the drug dealer, but stated that Knox and "F" first met on a train while the former American exchange student was commuting to Florence from Milan. They have allegedly kept in touch, and were reported to be in communication with each other before and after Kercher was murdered. "F" and two of his friends named Lorenzo and Luciano were allegedly arrested for selling cocaine.

Luciano Giuliano Mignini, the Italian prosecutor who handled the case, said though he could not connect the drug dealers with the murder, he believes that Knox would deny the association.

However, Knox supporters believe that the supposed drug connections are just the latest ploy of the prosecution to convict Knox for the crime that she did not do. Since the beginning of the trial, her supporters have been accusing the team of Italian prosecutors of making sure that Knox will get convicted despite the obvious lack of firm evidence, as well as twisting the truth to make her appear guilty in media.

Until now, Knox is firm about her innocence about the murder.
