Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team finally uncovers Aida's (Mallory Jansen) frightening secret in the upcoming episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4.

Titled "All the Madame's Men," next week's episode will see Daisy (Chloe Bennet) find herself joining forces with an unlikely partner. Elsewhere, Aida's secret is revealed. Before the team could get to her, she gears up to put her evil plan into effect.

The series has had several twists and turns since season 4 premiered last year. The ABC action-drama recently said goodbye to Mace (Jason O'Mara), who died in an ultimate act of selflessness. He sacrificed his life and held up a building to save the rest of his teammates.

Mace aka The Patriot was one of the big additions to the show's current installment. Initially posed as an Inhuman, Mace later discovered that his powers were actually the result of a super serum. He met a hero's death in Tuesday's episode and unfortunately, it will stay that way.

"This season is proof that death is, at times, fleeting on our show, but he is really dead," showrunner Jed Whedon told Entertainment Weekly. "One of the things [we decided] from the very beginning in talking about doing some version of an alternate world was the stakes had to be real, so our decision to make it a virtual world came with great bonuses but also came with the challenge of, 'How do you still make the stakes high?' In order to make it life or death, we felt like we needed some death."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." only has a few episodes left this season, with the finale slated to air mid-May. However, ABC still has not renewed the program for a fifth season. When asked about its renewal prospects, Marvel Head of Television Jeph Loeb gave a short but optimistic response: "We're hopeful."

The fourth season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs every Tuesday night at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
