5 Bible verses for when you're finding it hard to feel motivated

Do you ever have some days when you feel like you're fighting a losing battle against your lack of passion? You find it hard to even get out of bed; the thought of going to work makes you want to pull the duvet back over your head; you can't find any enjoyment in what you're doing?

If you've ever felt like that, you're not alone.  And there's some good news too: the blessing for Christians is that if we feel like that, help is very close at hand.

You see, Christ reminds us that He works the most in our weakness.  In fact, He already knew we would be weak sometimes and wanted us to know that He would be there in that moment to help us!

Our weakness is not a barrier to the Lord using us and it's not a barrier to being able to move forward.  The great thing is that Christ's strength can actually help us get back on our feet again so that we CAN feel motivated and passionate even when we're in those kinds of circumstances when it doesn't seem logical to feel enthusiastic or passionate.

That's what the Word of God is for.  The beauty of the Christian faith is recognizing that we are actually weak and we're bound to have days like this because of that weakness, but the Word is POWER, it has STRENGTH inside it.

The important thing is that we don't stay stuck in these feelings or give in to despondency, like we can never change.

When God's Word enters in, every feeling in us can be changed and renewed.  That's the power of God's spoken Word.  He spoke creation into being, so trust Him to be able to speak life and power back into your heart.  Just make sure that you don't shut Him out and close yourself to His influence.  Stay in the Word and stay in prayer and wait for God's reply, for He is your loving Father and He will surely reply to you in the best way.
