Ram has introduced a new variant of the 2019 Ram 1500 — the Laramie Longhorn Edition — which provides drivers with not only a durable and efficient pickup truck but also Texas-style luxury.

To distinguish itself from other 2019 Ram 1500 models, the Laramie Longhorn Edition has a two-tone RV Match Brown exterior paint. Unique features include a chrome billet grille, LED headlights and taillights with a chrome header surround and 20-inch or 22-inch alloy wheels.

Moreover, chrome bumpers, tow hooks, side steps and wheel flares are standard while the front doors and tailgate have the Laramie Longhorn belt-buckle badge.

Inside the Laramie Longhorn Edition, the cabin features premium wood, metal and leather materials as well as design cues inspired by the Southwest, such as an antique pocket watch, leather cowboy boots and a horse saddle.

Specifically, the dashboard, door panel and armrest are upholstered in leather while the center console, instrument panel, seats and door panel inserts have an alligator skin pattern embossed on top. There are also satin chrome accents, brushed-nickel metal badging on the console lid, Longhorn branding on the glove box, real barn wood finishes and ambient lighting. Heated and ventilated rear seats are also available as an option.

As for available technologies, the Laramie Longhorn Edition comes with 4G Wi-Fi hotspot. five USB ports, SiriusXM satellite radio and a 12-inch Uconnect infotainment system.

Ram did not mention specific powertrains but the standard 2019 Ram 1500 is available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque or a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

Both powertrains are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and are available with a four-wheel-drive system. The 2019 Ram 1500 also has a towing capacity of up to 12,750 pounds.

Pricing will be announced closer to the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Edition's launch in the spring.
