In the next episode of "Young Sheldon," genius Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) wants his mom Mary (Zoe Perry) to buy him a computer.

The trailers and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "A Computer, a Plastic Pony, and a Case of Beer," were just released recently, and they show Sheldon at an electronics store checking out a computer.

He excitedly creates graphics with different colors and designs. Moreover, he gets thrilled making lists which he alphabetizes to a tee. All of a sudden, his mother enters the store and tells him that they need to go. Sheldon motions to his mom and says, "We really need to get one of these."

Mary looks at him with surprise and winces at the idea. It appears that there are more important things on her mind than buying a computer.

"What on earth do we need a computer for?" she asks the budding, young genius.

Apparently, he can think of a number of reasons to get the computing device. "We can get so much accomplished. I could use a spreadsheet program to keep track of your expenses," he says to his mom, "Plus I can organize your recipes."

Mary points out that her recipes are organized. However, Sheldon mockingly replies, "On index cards, like a caveperson." It remains to be seen if his mom will eventually get the computer for him.

In the last episode, Mary got concerned when Sheldon began playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends. She decided to enroll him in Sunday school to make him more religious. However, the young boy started questioning religion and his own beliefs. He humorously ended up creating his own religion and recruited his friends

"Young Sheldon" season 1 episode 12 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 8:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
