Just a few months away from the release of "Xenoblade Chronicles 2," some gameplay footage was recently released.

During the Milan Games Week, Nintendo dropped some new footage of the game and it appears that this will be more like what players can expect to see when they get their hands on the game. Similar to the previous "Xenoblade" games, the world looks vast and beautiful, with some fun combat to match. The new footage is nearly an hour long, which is enough to get fans excited.

The gameplay footage also reveals the Titans that are inhabiting the world of Alrest that also serve as the hosts to many kinds of creatures. The creatures in particular come in various forms, and players will have to face them as they go through the game.

"Xenoblade Chronicles 2" allows players to issue specific commands to the characters in combat. However, it appears that they will need to give these commands quickly seeing as the enemies will not be waiting.

One thing to note is that even if a player can corner a specific enemy, other creatures can join the battle. This also means that players have to be very aware of their surroundings before they can engage in battles or else they might find themselves in a tough situation.

The game also has a combo mechanic that players can use to be able to get away from fights if they choose to. In addition, the footage also gave everyone a sneak peek into the Blade System of the game.

Speaking to IGN earlier this year during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) convention, Tetsuya Takahashi of Monolith Soft Studio revealed that there are special life forms that can be brought to life after characters that are known as "Drivers" who touch the Core Crystals. These blades give Drivers special powers.

In the gameplay video, the protagonist is shown forging a connection with a Core Crystal and it results in the creation of a Blade called Ryo.

There will be several Blades that are expected to be available and it is up to the players to know which kinds work best with the characters that they will use in the game.

"Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is scheduled to come out on Dec. 1 for Nintendo Switch.
