Whether the PlayStation 4 Pro or the Xbox One X is the most powerful console is a yet-unsettled debate between console gamers. However, a recent comparison seems to point to the Xbox One X as the reigning champion.

In a video made by Digital Foundry, Richard Leadbetter and Dave Bierton discuss the performance of both consoles when playing gamer favorites such as "Hitman," "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus," "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War," "Ghost Recon Wildlands," "Star Wars: Battlefront II," and "Rise of the Tomb Raider," to name a few.

Leadbetter and Bierton started with "Star Wars: Battlefront II," which had the biggest upgrade in terms of graphics and in-game performance. The game runs on 2160p or 4K resolution on the Xbox One X and 1440p on the PlayStation 4 Pro, and both look pretty good on a 4K display. However, there are still notable differences between the two consoles.

"Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus" came up next to their list, which performed slightly better on the PlayStation 4 Pro. However, the performance didn't hold much as more action happened in the game, which gave one point to the Xbox One X.

"Hitman" also performed better on the Xbox One X compared to the PlayStation 4 Pro. While both systems allow playing the game in 4K resolution, the One X seems to have given the game more details providing a good gaming experience for players.

"Ghost Recon Wildlands" was also pretty impressive on the Xbox One X due to the extra level of details the console provides with 4K resolution. Images on the One X are sharper compared to the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Other games were also tested and compared on the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, including "Titanfall 2," "Skyrim," "Fortnite," and "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." All of these games performed better on the One X compared to the Pro with a lot more detail and smoother gameplay.
